Hmm so I have the pleasure of living in an 8-person house, where there are two floors and each is (luckily) a separate unit of 4 people. However, my three companions are kind of...er. Well. They're hippies, okay? I go to a freakin' hippie school. They do pot, they compost, they want to save widdle aminals. That last one has led to a cat and a chihuaha thing living here. They're not bad, but they're MIGHTILY RETARDED. The cat sucks at doing anything that a cat is supposed to do. It tries to play with objects but it loses them or becomes frightened and runs away, it tries to lounge about all nonchalantly but it chooses to do so right at the edge of a surface and and eventually slides over and falls, then proceeds to lick its paws and pretend nothing happened. It also still hasn't learned that the cat in the mirror only crushes its face when it tries to pounce on it (it's very slow to learn this lesson compared to all the other animals I've dealt with in my life). It also somehow lacks the ability to jump as high as other animals and it can't aim or balance to save its life. Granted, this cat is half the size of other cats its age due to neglect or something in its first unhappy home, and oh yeah, it has no right eye. Yes, I pick on the handicapped. If they're cats. But don't get mad, I wrassle with it and feed it and pet it. We're friends and I'm pretty sure it's happily oblivious that I'm laughing at its misfortunes.
I just laughed out loud, because it's here on the computer desk now, and it just turned and smacked the right side of its face into the corner of my drawing tablet.
Edit: I've been wanting to make okonomiyaki for at least a few weeks now, I think it was since I saw okonomiyaki food drops on j-list/j-box. Candy that's meant to taste like savory foods sounds disgusting

or at least very disappointing, but it made me think of the real thing and want it. So I finally got the ingredients, even though I shouldn't have financially (five bucks for a small bag of okonomiyaki flour and four bucks for a thing of sesame/seaweed seasoning, plus the things like cabbage and toppings) and I made it. It's nice to add a recipe to my list of "Japanese foods I crave and tried to make and that actually tasted good/accurate". The cooked batter parts made me think of takoyaki - I guess either it's a similar thing or my brain's brokener than I thought. The cost isn't too bad, too, because the flour should last many pancakes and the other ingredients can be fairly cheap.

I'd like to put up more pics, but I am not very inspired lately. If anyone would like to do an art trade or request I draw something, please let me know. I'll do nearly anything, though I probably couldn't serve you well if you asked me to do mechs or guns or something like that.

I'm doing alright. Life's got it's ups and down for sure but today I'm feeling like the ups overweigh the downs.
